UB Poker opened their door for business in 1999, which is well before the poker boom and when the majority of other poker rooms started entering the market. When the poker room initially started accepting players in 1999 it was known as Ultimate Bet, but in 2009 the owners decided to re-brand the poker room into UB. As of right now UB is apart of the Cereus Poker Network, which they joined in 2008 along with Absolute Poker. Nowadays UB has a thriving online poker room with lots of traffic, but at the same time they’re still going through lots of changes. UB brand ambassadors, Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke recently announced that they’d be leaving the poker site so that they could pursue other opportunities. UB Poker is licensed in Kahnawake and is one of the few major poker rooms still accepting players from around the world including poker players from the USA.

Bonus

When you open a new player account for the 1st time with UB you’ll receive a welcome bonus, which is an industry standard in case you’ve never played online poker before. UB has one of the biggest sign-up bonuses that you’ll find being offered by any online poker room and they’ve made it as straightforward as possible. Games

UB has always provided players with multiple poker games to play and they add new games from time to time. As of right now you can play Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, H.O.S.E., H.O.R.S.E. and Razz. All of the games have cash game tables and tournaments running on a daily basis although the mixed poker games and Razz don’t receive nearly as much traffic as the other poker games. UB has a wide range of players that they cater to and therefore the stakes available in the poker room vary from micro level to high limit. A lot of new players join UB on a continual basis, but there is still a lot of tough competition on the poker site and I wouldn’t say it’s one of the fishiest rooms I’ve played in.

UB Poker isn’t the easiest poker site to contact, as they only offer a contact form on their website rather then a phone number, live chat or email. When you use the UB contact form it’ll take a maximum of 48 hours to hear back from a member of the support team although it’s typically much quicker then that.
