Lock Poker has only recently bounced into the conversation about top poker rooms and that’s because they’ve increased their marketing efforts heavily in the past year. Lock Poker opened on the Cake Poker Network in 2007, but made the move to the Merge Gaming Network in 2010. A lot of poker players say that their poker room has been built by poker players, but in most cases this isn’t true. Lock Poker has been developed by online poker players and the poker room manager, Eric Lynch, is a popular online poker player that uses the alias “Rizen”. Lock Poker is still in the US market, but as you can see from recent events, that can change at anytime.
Lock Poker Bonus
Over the past year, Lock Poker has been growing at an alarming rate and they have a huge sign-up bonus. The bonus used to be bigger, but it’s still one of the best poker bonuses that new players can earn. Poker players that deposit into Lock Poker for the first time will earn a 150% bonus for up to $750 although you need to use the Lock Poker bonus code “LOCK150”. Every time you play poker at Lock Poker you earn VIP points and it requires 75 VIP points to clear every $1 of your sign-up bonus. You’ll be given as long as you need to clear the full bonus at Lock Poker, but they’ll release the bonus in $5 increments.
Lock Poker Promotions
Lock Poker is still working on implementing promotions into the poker room since moving to the Merge Network, but they have already managed to set-up some nice offers. Lock Poker currently has a royal flush jackpot and bad beat jackpot that players can win while playing on the ring game tables. There are also monthly sit and go leaderboards and tournament leaderboards that players can participate in while playing at Lock Poker. I expect more promotions to become available at Lock Poker including a brand new VIP program, which has yet to be released.
Lock Poker Games
If you check out the games list at Lock Poker you’ll see that they stick to poker games. A number of poker sites have begun to offer a wide range of side games. Lock Poker does have a casino that players can use anytime, but the poker room is full of poker games and no side games, which I like. A lot of the poker games at Lock Poker aren’t popular, but they do offer a huge selection that includes Texas Holdem, Badugi, Five Card Draw, Razz, Five Card Joker, Omaha Hi/Lo, Five Card Stud, Omaha, Seven Card Stud, HORSE, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, Deuce-7 Lowball and Ace-5 Lowball. Lock Poker ring table games starts at the micro level limit and don’t go much higher than the medium limit tables.
Lock Poker Tournaments
Tournaments haven’t become too popular yet at Lock Poker, but that should change in the near future as long as Lock Poker can continue accepting players from the USA. Right now the biggest tournament at Lock Poker is the $50K Guarantee that is hosted in the poker room every Sunday. There aren’t many other big MTT’s with guaranteed prize pools, but the selection of smaller single table tournaments is better at Lock Poker. There are also 9 daily freerolls with $50 prize pools that have become very popular with players working with a small bankroll at the moment.
Lock Poker Support
Lock Poker doesn’t have the best support that you’re going to experience in the online poker industry, but they do work hard to try and ensure every player is taken care of. Right now email support is all that’s available at Lock Poker, but they also have live support available at times through a live chat platform. Email support is open 24/7, but it can take over 24 hours to receive a reply from the team at Lock Poker.
Lock Poker Banking
Most poker players will have no issues depositing into Lock Poker, but some players may experience difficulties depending on the deposit option you use. If you use a deposit option that doesn’t work you should try and alternative. Lock Poker accepts payments from Visa, PaySafe Card, MasterCard, EcoCard, eWalletExpress, Moneybookers, Neteller, Click&Buy, NetCents, EntroPay and Click2Pay. The majority of the deposit options at Lock Poker don’t have any fees and most of them are processed instantly.
